For this project I focused my attention on adapting to the current situation and the rules implemented to ensure safe distancing and how aspects like the materiality and gradient of a building can influence the movement through the space and encourage safe distancing. When I began, I started by bringing the ideas of carving and casting which I explored in the previous project into this project. This allowed me to work on a bigger scale and explore these idea in a greater depth, resulting in a series of casts creating a monolith form which developed into the exterior of my building. Along side this I was also developing the interior space which I did through experimenting with the 2 metre distancing rule, creating a series of spaces from 2 metre spheres and 4 metre hemispheres. This built up the interior spaces which were then cast into the exterior form.
