The Pyrarce is a multi-use communal metabolic constructivist structure, providing the area with functions they need. This structure tackles the deprived but developing area of Hackney Wick, the lack of services such as a post office, collection office, primary care facility, fitness centre, food and goods vendors, creating a hub within the area to provide needed services and connect the seperated communities. The Pyrarce is an upside-down pyramidal structure that is based on Mazlow’s Heirarchy of needs, prioritizing a human need for each floor. The structure practises duck architecture by physically representing it’s meaning, Mazlow’s heirarchy but also the idea of flipping the social heirarchy, bringing the community to the top, to prioritize the average civilian.
