Alone Together, takes the form of a community space, that is positioned within the heart of vibrant Bermondsey, South London. The building, contains space for a small chapel and individual eating quarters, that span vertically across four floors. Natural light penetrates, through formed light wells that illuminate the space below. Local people, who may be struggling with self-quarantining, and are experiencing negative side effects on their mental well-being, and a lack of social interaction, can visit and have the chance to engage in a conversation with someone else, who may also be sharing a similar unfortunate situation. The building aims, first and foremost to address the needs of individuals who see comfort, in meaningful social interaction with others.
